Ways to Love the Life You Have
By Roger Housden
September 5 – October 24, 2016

Is it possible to have a natural, daily experience of embracing your life exactly as it is? That is the question that Roger Housden invites readers to live into in his new book, Dropping the Struggle: Seven Ways to Love the Life You Have.

Housden wrote this book from first-hand experience. Despite his success as the bestselling author of the Ten Poems to Change Your Life series, he often felt that something — which he couldn’t quite put his finger on — was missing. This feeling continued until he got to know himself at a level deep enough that he was able to see how he could make a conscious choice towards living fully with more ease, even amidst the effort which is a needed for us to sustain ourselves and to build a compassionate culture.

We were so impressed when we received an advanced copy of this book that we chose it to be the focus of Spirituality & Practice’s first-ever book discussion group. We would love to have your participation not only because we expect it to be expertly led by Roger and restorative for all involved, but also so that you can give us feedback about this format. We will be watching how it goes to see about offering other books in this way in the future.

Please note:  Our offer to have a copy of Dropping the Struggle sent to you directly by the publisher ended at midnight Eastern Time on August 21. We have lowered the cost of this discussion group accordingly. Please purchase the book online or through your local bookseller as soon as possible, in order to have the book in hand when the group begins.
